Construction is a people business – and one of the few industries where you depend on so many individuals to make a building come to life. From the architect to the engineer, to the subcontractor or the contractor, there are a whole host of people that must come together, each playing a vital role in the success of a project.
Now in its second year, the 40 Under 40 program acknowledges the movers and shakers in the global architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Whether you’re an up-and-comer or a seasoned professional, the program recognizes those who are stretching the limits and paving the future of what’s possible in AEC. Nominations are open through November 22, 2019.

Last year’s list makers spanned the entire project lifecycle – from estimators to project managers, and designers to superintendents. Most importantly, it included individuals who are challenging the status quo through leadership and the implementation of new ideas and construction technology.
This is a call to action for the industry – worldwide – to nominate the individuals – coworkers, mentors, mentees, and trades advocates – who are positively impacting the construction industry. The list will recognize extraordinary professionals under the age of 40 who fit one or more of the following criteria:
- A young professional in the AEC industry who has excelled quickly in their role;
- A construction professional who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in motivating their team; and
- An industry innovator who has implemented and managed technology with a major impact on a project and their company.
